Vigil for Puerto Rico on the anniversary of Hurricane Maria

Please join us around the fountain at Upper Common Park on for a candlelight vigil in honor of Puerto Rico and in remembrance of those lost from Hurricane Maria and its aftermath on the one year anniversary, Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 6:30 pm.

Speakers Wil Darcangelo of First Parish Church of Fitchburg, and Irene Hernandez of Fitchburg Community Connections Coalition will guide us through a ceremony including the lighting of vigil candles, the ringing of the steeple bell of First Parish Church and the raising of a large banner commemorating our continuing prayers for all those who struggle to recover as we enter a new season of powerful storms.
